Lake Tomé

Access

Introduction

Lake of glacial origin, characterised by dark blue waters. Reserved pond, challenging to reach along a mainly rocky path. It forms beautiful waterfalls as you descend towards Broglio, and some pools where you can bathe.

Just above passes the Sentiero Alto della Valle Maggia (SAVM), a path linking Locarno with Fusio, to be walked in 4-5 days.Access route:

From Broglio (Vallemaggia): direct ascent from Broglio along the side valley at the end of which is the small lake.

From Sonogno (Valle Verzasca): Sonogno, Passo di Redorta, ridge in the direction of Prato Sornico and descent to the small lake.
